Successful lifting operations start with detailed planning. On one of our live Knight Harwood projects, MSK recently developed and coordinated the lifting and access arrangements required to safely operate two Manitou 220TJ boom lifts, working at heights of over 20 metres in one of London’s busiest locations, Great Portland Street. With constant pedestrian traffic, live roads and restricted working space, meticulous planning was essential to ensure the works were delivered safely and efficiently. Our team, The Green Machine, was proud to take part in Knight Harwood 's Dragon Boat Race, joining together for an afternoon of teamwork and plenty of laughs. Most importantly, the event helped raise funds for The Abbey Centre , an incredible local charity that continues to make a real difference within the community. It was fantastic to spend time with so many people from across the industry, enjoying some healthy competition, great hospitality, and even a welcomed swim to cool off after crossing the finish line! Recently, members of the MSK team joined one of OD Group's project teams to volunteer with AMURT UK as part of their London Feeding Programme. Together, we helped prepare Vita Bites and nutritious meals for people experiencing homelessness and food insecurity across London. The initiative not only provides vital support to vulnerable communities but also helps reduce food waste through the redistribution of surplus food. MSK are excited to announce the launch of our new on-site Occupational Health testing, delivered in partnership with Health Wizard at Work . This system enables us to carry out essential health surveillance by testing Hearing and Lung function for our operatives. The process is fully self-administered through a simple, user-friendly interface. Results are securely reviewed and shared with both the individual and our Health & Safety team, allowing us to proactively monitor and support the well-being of our workforce. This is another important step in our ongoing commitment to protecting our people, improving accessibility to health checks, and raising standards across our projects.
